HALO Develops the Industry's First
"Extended Temperature Range" Miniature 10/100 Magnetic Solution
Press Release: January 2001
The Ultra series was developed by HALO in 1997 providing the LAN industry with the first 16 pin SOIC magnetic solution. This small package concept provided the Fast Ethernet designers the highest IEEE802.3 compliant performance while decreasing circuit area, shortening trace lengths and reducing cost. Since then, this device has become the industry standard for real estate sensitive, commercial temperature range applications.
Today HALO is pleased to announce the E-Ultra which is the industry's first "extended temperature range" miniature solution. This high performance device is footprint interchangeable with our original Ultra series providing IEEE802.3 compliance over the industrial temperature range of -40 to +85C. The E-Ultra meets the OCL requirement of 350µH minimum inductance (w/8mA load) over the entire operating temperature range.
This new extended temperature range E-Ultra is ideal for industrial control, telecom and robust networking equipment applications. Individual datasheets are available from your local HALO representatives and distributors. Samples are available from stock and production lead time is 4-6 weeks.
HALO Electronics, a leading global supplier of LAN and Telecom magnetics, is committed to providing the communications industry next generation solutions today.
